Located on the grounds of Toronto’s vibrant Exhibition Place, the LEED Gold Enercare Centre is
Canada’s largest convention centre.

Enercare Convention Centre is a multi-purpose exhibition and convention facility; the Better
Living Centre and Queen Elizabeth Exhibit Hall are multi-purpose exhibition and event facilities
at Exhibition Place, all of which are owned by the City of Toronto and governed by the Board of
Governors of Exhibition Place.

The facilities were developed with the primary objective of booking
exhibitions, conventions, meetings, special events and activities that generate significant economic

Conducting the tour will be Mark Goss who is a Professional Engineer working in the capacity of General Manager, Operations with the Board of Governors of Exhibition Place. He is directly responsible for the physical maintenance of the buildings on the 192 acre parkland, including but not limited to; CapitalWorks projects, Building and Site Maintenance, HVAC & Building Automation, Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical Maintenance, Painting, Garage, Health & Safety and Fire and Life Safety Systems.

His previous work experience includes: Pharmaceutical Plant expansion and maintenance, Food Process engineering, Brewery design and construction, HVAC installation, service and maintenance and Hospital Systems maintenance. Mark has held senior management positions at Molson’s Breweries, Christie Brown, Molson Breweries and Apotex,

Mr. Goss is continually involved in a number of energy initiatives involving Toronto Atmospheric Fund, Toronto Better Buildings Partnership, LEED Projects, FCM, City of Toronto and LightSavers. The focus of these projects is to develop and install Energy Savings initiatives such as 100kw photo voltaic installation, 1.6 Megawatt trigeneration systems and geothermal initiative. He was the Operations LEED for Exhibition Place for the construction and certification of the Allstream Centre as a LEED Silver N.C. building.

Mark is a certified LEED Green Associate and he was the lead Project Engineer for the Enercare Centre LEED Project, which received a LEED Gold certification.
