General Requirements for all committees: 

  • Attendance at committee meetings; no more than 3 to be missed per year.  Meetings are combination of in-person and conference calls.
  • Attendance at regular scheduled events (4 per year)

Marketing Committee, 2 Positions Available – Click here for Terms of Reference:
1. Creative

  • Familiarity with marketing and communications – education/experience
  • Experience in Adobe Illustrator
  • Ability to write/edit copy, weekly deadline requirements
  • Samples of work / references may be required
  • Attendance to at least 4 events annually

2. Writer

  • Strong communication and writing skills including social media, blogging, writing articles
  • Experience with word press
  • Ability to attend monthly IFMA Toronto events to report and photograph for social media and website

Programming Committee, 2 -3 Positions Available – Click here for Terms of Reference:

  • Assist in the planning and development of Regular Scheduled Events in coordination with Director of Programming and Administrator .The goal is to have the full year calendar established prior to the Executive Retreat in June.
  • Attend 4 Regular Scheduled Events whenever possible to assist with coordination of event.
  • Continue to develop future opportunities for facility tours and speakers ready for the following calendar year.
  • Assist in the marketing and promotion of an event wherever possible.
  • Coordinate with speakers and facilities to ensure all deliverables meet the timeline for the event.

Membership Committee, 1 Position Available – Click here for Terms of Reference:

    • Report to the Director of Membership
    • Ensure active attendance at membership meetings; miss no more than 3 per year.
    • Complete any commitments as required/requested.
    • Ability to devote time to make phone calls to membership or prospects. Complete calls and follow up and submit report by 3rd Friday of the month.
    • Follow the guidelines and email template as provided for all contact with members.
    • Attend IFMA Toronto events to maintain visibility of committee to membership, attend at least 50% of IFMA Toronto events.
    • Respect the confidentiality of our membership and respect the personal information you possess for membership committee reasons

Young Professionals’ Committee, 2 Positions Available – Click here for Terms of Reference:

  • Report to the Director of Young Professionals
  • Young Professional age demographic (under 35) a requirement
  • Ensure active attendance at planning meetings; miss no more than 3 per year.
  • Complete any commitments as required/requested.
  • Attend IFMA Toronto YP events to maintain visibility of committee to membership, attend at least 50% of IFMA Toronto events.
