Job Description

This position will generate and win new business opportunities in the Facility (FM) sector in line with company targets and priorities. The role, whilst predominantly focused on Eastern Canada may include activities on a national basis and may involve travel periodically.
Reporting to the Business Development Manager (Canada), you will work with the Managing Director and Business Development Manager (Canada) to develop a strong pipeline of Facility Management opportunities in Eastern Canada, with a primary focus on the GTA.

Key responsibilities include:
• Secure new business targets in line with annual targets set by the business within Eastern Canada
• Research prospective accounts in targeted markets and pursue leads
• Maintain relationships with current clients and identify new prospects within the Eastern Canada
• Provide technical and pricing support to the bid team during the commercial bid phase.
• Ensure lifecycle model is updated in line with design development. Attend client and design development meetings as required to assist in lifecycle and services solution development
• Liaise with internal management to collaborate and conduct analysis of competing design options to arrive at the optimal solution for the life of the project from a net present value perspective.
• Liaise effectively with the design builder team, design consultants, architects, in-house operations team, and clients in the design preparation
• Participate with clients and engage in design development meetings as required to support in lifecycle and services solutions development
• Create and help maintain database of labor efficiencies and relevant metrics by asset type for use on future projects
• Attend client and design development meetings as required to support lifecycle and services solution development
• Work with on-site management to prepare maintenance asset lists from site surveys of existing buildings and drawing reviews. Conduct analysis of competing design options to arrive at the optimal solution for the life of the project from an net present value perspective
• Work with onsite management and internal support groups to determine the staffing levels required to meet FM specifications. Prepare maintenance asset lists from site surveys of existing buildings and drawing reviews. Ensure lifecycle model is updated in line with design development
• Prepare bid response documents including planning, preparing and tailoring the Company responses to them
• Work collaboratively with identified team members within Plan Group to secure new business for FM and Service activities.
• Maintain and keep up to date database of labor efficiencies and relevant metrics by asset type for use on future projects
• Prepare bid pre-qualification (RFQ) responses and other formal submissions.
• Prepare detailed pricing submissions for the provision of Hard FM and Soft FM services for inclusion in bid responses.
• Prepare detailed written / qualitative submissions in response to formal procurement processes (RFPs) and other identified business opportunities.
• Prepare and maintain internal business development documentation and hold progress meetings as directed including the identification and mitigation of commercial and technical risks.
• Identify and perform relevant networking activities for the Company to generate and qualify business leads and opportunities.
• Maintain a current knowledge of the FM market including up to date knowledge of competitor and Client developments

The Candidate:
You have proven bid management experience in the Facility Management industry, or a related, sector. You are an interpersonal and excellent communicator with technical expertise of one or more FM service streams with a focus on technical maintenance. You are comfortable taking the lead on diverse contracts and have a proven record securing profitable FM contracts within the public and or/private sectors. In addition, you have a proven ability and extensive experience pricing and estimating Facility Management services. You have excellent presentation skills and can build trust and dependability with your current clients and client prospects.
We are looking for an individual to encompass team leadership, strategic thinking and project management skills. You must be a goal orientated and results-driven individual who adheres to timely deadlines and understands the sensitivity of time management and client expectations. You have a creative mind-set with the ability to investigate new ideas, assess their practical application and pursue those with merit. You are able to assimilate unstructured information and produce clear, well-structured concise written summaries and reports. It is essential that you have a strong knowledge of the Canadian Facility Management market including the Eastern market.

The Company
Bouygues Energies & Services is a leading provider of Total Facility Management services to both the Public Private Partnership (PPP) and traditional Facility Management markets. Bouygues E&S is the Service Provider for three major P3 projects in Canada. Within the healthcare environment it operates the Jim Pattison Outpatient and Surgery Centre, providing Total FM services over the 30 year operating period. Within secured government facilities, it provides total FM services, lifecycle, and energy management services at the Royal Canadian Mounted Police’s E-Division Headquarters over the 25 year operating period.
