Responsibilities:

Ensure the facilities are maintained and kept clean and tidy at all times.
Exhibit generalized knowledge of building systems, maintenance and office services.
Receive and respond to facilities tickets as per published KPIs.
Oversee and manage relationship with facilities vendors.
Procure services through quotes and RFPs.
Ensure that all Preventative Maintenance programs are scheduled and implemented as per PM agreements.
Manage small operational projects.
Schedule and coordinate small staff moves (MAC’s); work with Sr. Management for space planning, modifications and storage.
Liaise with IT and communicate project requirements and moves.
Work closely with departmental stakeholders and internal customers.
Provide consultation and support to satellite offices.
Maintain meeting and training rooms in good working order and set up and maintain furniture/equipment.
Participate in green/sustainability programs.
Knowledge of building security systems including issuing security badges.
Reception coverage as required.
Shipping & Receiving as required.
Other duties as required.
On-call for facilities related emergencies.

Required Experience:

Diploma or degree in business or related discipline or equivalent work experience required.
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in facility management/operations.
Professional designation in the facilities field such as FMP, CFM etc. is an asset.
AutoCAD and other facilities related program experience is an asset.
Experience with contracts, RFPs, bidding, and scope of work.
Self-motivated and the ability to work independently without supervision.
Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills required as this role interacts with all departments within the organization.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
Ability to work under pressure managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to be proactive.
Strong commitment to safety and a maintaining a safe working environment.
Joint Health & Safety Committee experience (certification preferred).
Experience with hand tools.
Flexibility to work beyond regular business hours as required and able to respond to emergency situations.
Ability to travel to satellite office locations including the U.S.
