Roth IAMS/FCAPX is currently seeking a Finance Manager to take the lead in building out and managing the finance function in our dynamic growth-oriented organization.

Our rapidly growing Engineering and Management Consulting Firm has quickly become an industry leader in providing world-class solutions in Asset Management/Capital Planning including Building Assessment, Accessibility Assessment, Energy Management, and Capital Asset Database Management. We provide expertise to a wide variety of sectors, including municipal, healthcare, educational, institutional, industrial, recreational and hospitality.

In this challenging role, you will report directly to the President of the company and will act as key advisor with responsibility for the financial health of the company. The role will require collaboration with our team of over 40 professionals located across Ontario as well as Saskatoon, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.

What you’ll do:
• Provide financial leadership and accounting support to all areas of the business;
• Complete all stages of the annual business planning cycle, including budgets, forecasts, and targets;
• Manage and prepare monthly and annual financial reports;
• Participate in financial planning, operational activities and strategies to provide financial guidance, advice, and analysis to support the financial reporting cycle;
• Oversee the day-to-day financial operations within the company, which include but are not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cashflow and payroll;
• Maintain and continuously improve forecasting and budgeting processes for operating expenses and capital expenditures;
• Analyze costs, pricing & sales results compared to the Company’s Business plans;
• Opportunity to lead, guide and develop the accounting team as the department grows ensuring employees have the tools, knowledge, and training to maximize performance;
• Standardize and streamline systems and processes used to gather, analyze, interpret and report financial and statistical data;
• Manage and comply with Provincial, Federal & Excise tax reporting requirements and filings and coordinate annual audits as required;
• Make recommendations on process improvements to prepare for company growth.

Must Haves:
• Undergraduate Degree and Chartered Accountant (CA) Designation;
• Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in the field of finance;
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and relationship management skills;
• Advanced user of financial data and reporting systems;
• Ability to lead change and implement new processes and systems;
• Self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal guidance in a growing company;
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy;
• Excellent communication and business partnership skills;
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook;
• Self-starter, energetic, positive, leader.
