In this role you will report to the Director, Business Development & Operations on matters of facility operations, administration, assets, risk management and liability. You will be responsible for all aspects of planning and administration associated with the day-to-day operation of all Athletics & Recreation facilities on the Keele Campus. This includes responsibility for risk management related to the facilities, event set-up support, identification and coordination of renovations/improvements to facility and/or equipment and fixtures, and ongoing liaison and planning with other University departments and external organizations as necessary. This includes coordination with CSBO related to physical plant maintenance and caretaking/custodial, grounds, security, parking etc.Facilities include the (Tait McKenzie Centre including gymnasia, pool, fitness centre, studios, squash courts, change/locker rooms, offices), York Lions Stadium, Alumni Field Stadium, outdoor sport fields and tennis courts. You will have the overall responsibility for the physical and operational integrity of the Athletics & Recreation facilities at the Keele campus used for a wide variety of events and other space requirements. This position also has major responsibilities for ensuring high quality sport facilities are available for 19 teams in the Varsity Athletics program, intramurals, casual recreation and the academic practica programs (PKINs) in the School of Kinesiology and Health Science. You will ensure smooth operation of all services and activities related to the day-to-day use of all Athletics & Recreation facilities. This position requires commitment and adherence to the values and principles of Athletics & Recreation.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will bring the following:
A University degree is required. Certification in one or more area of sport facility management required e.g., pool, arena/refrigeration, etc. Certifications in First Aid and CPR preferred. 6 years of experience with a demonstrated record of effectively managing large multi-faceted sport/recreational facilities, including pool supervision.
